Leon Le is an accomplished actor/dancer/singer/photographer/filmmaker. His performing credits range from theme park, dinner theater, regional theaters, national/international tours to the Broadway stage.
As a self taught filmmaker, his short film Dawn (www.dawntheshortfilm.com) has gained him attentions at the film festival circuits, winning many awards such as Best Director, Best Editing, Best Short Film, Best LGBT Themed Short film, Best Ensemble Cast. It was also nominated for Excellence In Short Filmmaking Award, and the Iris Prize Award. His latest short film Talking To My Mother (www.talkingtomymother.com) has been nominated for Best Actor in a Short Film, and won several awards including Best Director, Best Short Film, Best Drama, Best Original Score, Best LGBT Short, and the Audience Choice Award.
His first feature film Song Lang which he co-written/directed and edited had its world premiere in Vietnam to rave reviews, and went on to have its international premiere at Tokyo International Film Festival where it received the Gemstone Award for Best Leading Actor. The film also won Best Cinematography and Judges' Choice Award from the Australian Cinematographer Society.
Leon is currently living in New York City.
